Wei-Wu-Wei - A FOCUS AND MOTIVATION PROGRAM

Most athletes are aware that an important component to becoming a good player is the ability for your body to perform.  You must know how to play and must have the physical skills needed to play against those challenging you. However, one must realize and fully understand that there are 2 other components that an athlete must unleash to truly become a great player. These other components work together with the body and can produce a truly legendary player.  These 2 components are the mind and the heart.

When the mind, the heart and the body are truly in accordance with each other, then one is said to be playing in the zone. The zone is unconditional, athletic performance and it is difficult to reach. And in most cases is extremely difficult to sustain on a consistent basis.  However, you can accomplish this if you are willing and if you are accurately informed of the process.  Once you are able to do this, your game will rise to a performance level that most athletes will never reach.

Zone play comes from a philosophy called Wei-Wu-Wei (pronounced "way-woo-way").  This is a unique, mental concept that means "action-non-action" or "doing-without-doing".  This is a philosophy that people have practiced in ancient Chinese cultures for thousands and thousand of years, and that millions of people still practice today. It is a philosophy and a technique that stresses to allow activities to occur naturally and seamlessly without struggle and without disruptive thoughts. In essence, it means to flow effortlessly. Wei-Wu-Wei teaches you to harness the energy of the mind, heart and body in such a way that will enable you to perform at a level that relies on the unconscious.

Zone play is crucial if you desire to play the best you can play.  At TMT Sports, we realize this and now offer a complete Wei-Wu-Wei tutorial with Air Alert®.  The Air Alert® DVD and the Air Alert® training manual contain sections that provide complete instructions and examples on how to harness mental and motivational powers to elevate your game to the best it can possibly be. What was once a program that was completely sold separately is now a part of Air Alert®.

WEI-WU-WEI PRINCIPLES

The Mind

The mind is your intellectual control center. It is the catalyst for your success. This area promotes health, well-being, emotional stability and athletic accomplishment. The mind is the fundamental property that you must develop to assure that you reach the ability to play in the zone.  This is unquestionable. Failure to do so will simply limit your ability to become a great player. The mind is like the body; it needs training and its power must never be underestimated.

The Heart

The heart is your emotional center. This is where your desire, your passion and your motivation to play and to succeed exist.  It is an emotional and powerful area that steers desires.  The heart is your fire.  Failure to learn to develop this fundamental area will keep you from athletic success. Having heart and unleashing it unconsciously will elevate you to a level of athletic performance that few athletes reach.

The Body

The body is your physical center.  It is the physical expression of who you are.  In order to assure athletic success, you must prepare and train your body for competition.  The mind and heart working together are powerful; however, if you do not adequately prepare your body, you will never truly enter the zone, a level of unconditional, athletic perfection. Air Alert will help to prepare your body.
